There are a few ways that we work with our clients. If you are just beginning to design with an architect, are about to break ground on a new home, planning a remodeling project, or are looking to transform the finished space you already live in, we are here to be your trusted guide.  

We layer lifestyle and function over the architectural plans to ensure you understand exactly what the technical plans have to offer. We ask the questions you may or may not have thought about… how does that island function during a party, where are the desserts (or drinks) served, where will you tuck the kids toys (or homework or sports equipment) at the end of the day? What happens when you’re all alone in your house…where is your retreat space? You know, the IMPORTANT stuff. It’s YOUR house so it should be a reflection of YOU and your family from the front door to the back yard. It’s our job to understand the feeling you want to evoke and make these design goals a reality.

With 15 years of experience, our interior design process is clearly identified in 5 phases:

 

DISCOVERY

(2 Weeks)

Taking into consideration what is important to you and your family, the architecture of the house, and the neighborhood you live in, we begin our design discovery. We talk about how the room will function, the livability of the space, the emotion you hope the space will evoke, and your timeline for the project.

 

DESIGN

(4-6 Weeks)

We will translate your vision that was established during the discovery process into your design story. Once we’ve prepared our work, we share this via a series of design presentations. We communicate our design intent via a scaled floor plan drawing, a complete design scheme and a line item budget listing all of the proposed products. Material samples, paint chips, and other samples are shared during this phase.

 

QUOTING AND PLANNING

(3-4 Weeks)

Once we have an approved direction for the floor plan, design scheme and budget, we will begin to secure specific quotes for each of the elements you have selected. Furniture pieces will be quoted with exact fabric and finish specifications, tile quantities will be secured based on square footage and layout plans, and specialists will be coordinated to finalize material needs for window treatments and wallpaper installation, etc. Custom quotes will be finalized before orders are placed.

A proposal will be prepared for each item to outline exact costs. With your approval of this formal document, the ordering and project management phase will begin.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & DESIGN EXECUTION

(12-16 Weeks)

The highest level of value is delivered in this phase. Think of us as the conductor of your orchestra. Here is where we manage every fine detail of your project by coordinating the ordering, tracking, delivery of all of your design selections, and communications to all specialists involved. You can expect a seamless, smooth, no headache, installation process.

We will select and engage our trusted specialists who we’ve spent years forming relationships with to bring your design vision to life. Making and confirming appointments and making sure they show up. Communication is everything!

 

INSTALLATION

Whether we are delivering a single piece of furniture, an entire home or coordinating paint, electrical, window treatments, wallpaper and a furnishing delivery, you can sit back, and rest assured we have it covered. Everything will be placed exactly as we planned, lamps will have light bulbs and be plugged into your walls, and all of the packing materials will disappear with our trusted moving crew. We can even coordinate towel selections, dress your beds and stock pantries if you’re looking for a truly supported experience of completion.
