Kate Maloney Albiani
PRINCIPAL/LEAD DESIGNER
Coming from a line of creative women, it’s no surprise that I entered a creative field. My grandmother and great-grandmother were hat designers, and my mother ran a custom window treatment business for over 20 years. These smart, powerful female visionaries helped shape my future and continue to do so!
While I started in advertising, I quickly redirected my focus to interior design when I met a designer and learned what she did for a living. At the time, I didn’t know this was a career option or that people hired professionals to do that! So, I started on my path to becoming a self-taught designer, fueling my passion and soaking up as much knowledge as fast as possible. Fortunately, renowned Boston architect Charles R. Myer mentored and encouraged me to follow my dream of opening my own studio.
Thanks to my business degree from Bentley College and 20+ years in the industry, I offer clients a balanced approach with my creativity and business savvy. With a passion for constantly educating the KMID team and clients, I like to say you get my full brain! I’ll share everything I know about resources, quality, investment level value, and lifestyle, along with my honest opinion, empowering you to make informed decisions.
Your home should be unique to you and your family. With a youthful spin on traditional homes and a mastery of blending antique and modern pieces with wonderfully unexpected details, I’ll make your dream space a reality.
